炭疽是由炭疽芽孢杆菌（Bacillus anthracis）引起的传染性疾病。该病是牛、马、羊等动物传染病，但偶尔也可传染给从事皮革、畜牧工作的人员，该细菌由Robert Koch在1877年首次发现。炭疽杆菌的芽孢可以抵御很强的紫外线,高温等恶劣环境,在适合的环境下,芽孢会从新开始活动,变成有感染能力炭疽杆菌。
目前，炭疽杆菌疫苗现状： 1．动物免疫接种： 我国现用兽用炭疽疫苗有两种，传统疫苗为无毒芽孢苗，
系采用印度系（Sterne）疫苗株生产的活疫苗，此菌株不产生荚膜，能引起动物水肿反应。疫苗每毫升含芽孢300万个，羊，猪注射0.5ml，牛，马注射1ml，有效期1年。 近年国内用34F2株生产PA佐剂苗，加矿物油佐剂，小动物注射1ml，绵羊，山羊注射2ml，牛，马注射2ml，免疫期为1年。 2．人群免疫： 我国现用炭疽疫苗为A16R减毒株，无荚膜有水肿性的疫苗株生产的活芽孢苗，每毫升含芽孢40亿，为20人份，皮上划痕接种1次，免疫有效期为1年。

At present, the status of Bacillus anthracis vaccine: 1. Animal Vaccination: There are two kinds of animal anthrax vaccines in our country. The traditional vaccine is a non-toxic spore, which is a live vaccine produced by the Sterne vaccine strain. This strain does not produce capsules and can cause animal edema. Per milliliter vaccine contain 3 million spores. Sheep, pigs should be injected with 0.5ml, cattle, horse should be injected with 1ml. Validity is 1 year. In recent years, domestic uses 34F2 strain to produce PA adjuvant seedlings, adding mineral oil as adjuvant. Small animal should be injected with 1ml, sheep, goat should be injected with 2ml, cattle, horse should be injected with 2ml. Immunization period is 1 year. 2. Population immunization: The anthrax vaccine used by China is A16R attenuated strain. It is live bud sprouts produced by no capsule edema of the vaccine strains. Per milliliter of it contain 4 billion spores, and it is 20 copies for human. It is inoculated once by scratching skin. Immune valid is 1 year.
